Treatment

Once I have completed my diagnosis I will produce a treatment plan and decide which points to use.  There are over 300 points on the body each with their own action and function.  Frequently, points are used on the arms and legs but body points may also be used.

Sometimes acupuncture needles are inserted for just a second or two, or you may be left to rest for a while before the needles are removed.  The acupuncture needles are so fine that most people don't feel them being inserted.  It is normal to feel a mild tingle or dull ache after insertion but this does not usually last.

Responses to treatment can sometimes include tiredness or mild dizziness and very occassionally minor bruising may occur.  However, such reactions are short lived.  If you have any concerns after your treatment you can call me to discuss these.
